About Karina

B. Karina Castillo graduated from the Fashion Institute of Technology (F.I.T) located in Manhattan, the heart of New York City. She specializes in special occasion dresses and Sustainability. She hopes to introduce her expertise in psychology to create timeless garments that can evoke healing, empowerment, and creativity. She holds a master’s degree in Psychology.

In 2022, she completed her bachelor degree; her design was selected for the prestigious A.S.S. “The Brave New World” Exhibition. Her aesthetic consists in involving organic shapes with structured silhouettes in order to achieve naturalistic designs; whether it is included in her selection of textiles or implementation of embellishments. In recent years, Karina has become more conscious about contamination of the ocean and is experimenting with organic dying to create her own prints on organic fabrics.

Through her academic experience, she has learned how to start a new collection and enjoys doing market research, creating mood boards, and swatching fabric. Each garment carries passion, attention to detail, and hard work.  She hopes to introduce her psychology expertise to create timeless garments that can evoke healing, empowerment, and creativity.
